9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saratoga Springs, NY
This class focuses on creating your own unique textures to use with metal clay. In my previous classes on this topic the emphasis has been on making tear aways which are sheets of paper with polymer clay baked on them. I’ve used them extensively after learning the technique from Celie Fago. They are wonderful opportunities to use your own black and white designs or other black and white images to make low relief texturing tools. I am considering altering this emphasis this time to the creation of photopolymer plates (PPP) which also use images but in this case they are made using transparency film and special materials for making the PPP. I will also show you how to make molds using several different types of molding materials and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each. I will send more information on this to those who express an interest. $180 materials and instruction fee. There will be an additional fee based on the specific materials for this class.
This class is held in my Saratoga Springs studio and all participants must have been vaccinated.
